The
1911 Canadian Northern Railway depot, located in the heart of Camrose’s
heritage district, forms the centrepiece for the Camrose Railway Park.
The depot houses unique displays of local railway
heritage, as well as
the Canadian Northern Society’s archives and library. The railway park
is part of the City of Camrose park system and welcomes visitors to the
community and residents alike.
The Station Tea Room, Morgan Garden, museum and
archives open Saturday
of the long weekend in May and close Saturday of the long weekend in
September. Hours for the tea room are Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sundays in July and August from 1 to 5 p.m. We take group bookings for lunches and tours at times other than
regular openings of the Tea Room for up to 50 people. The park is open
for special events and weddings.
Unique gifts are available from the station gift shop,
and special
events are held throughout the year at the station. The station express
room and King George Room can comfortably accommodate business meetings and general
assemblies of up to 35 persons, and is available for use by the public.

Library and Archives have paper archives including reference material
and manuals, books on the history of the railways, local history,
general railway subjects, Canadian National Railway books and articles,
Canadian Pacific books and articles, railway regulation manuals,
railway station books, GTP, CPR, CN and NAR forms, junior railway
stories, historical educational manuals for railway employees, train

can access our library by visiting the station during opening hours or

Wildrose Antique Collectors club of Edmonton. This club holds a huge
spring sale at the Edmonton Northlands Agricom with profits used to
assist in restoration of historic sites.
The Morgan Garden Railway has historic buildings depicting the
Canadian Northern Society’s communities. Heritage and native plants can
be seen in the garden and throughout the park.
